Coach Young is originally from Chaska, Minnesota where he played football and basketball. He was a captain of both teams his senior year. He then attended Minnesota State University-Mankato from 2015-2020, earning a double major in Secondary Social Studies Education and History. Before coming to Mounds View, he returned to his Alma Mater Chaska High School to teach Social Studies. He also coached the freshman football team and the sophomore basketball team for three years. He is now at MVHS serving as a long-term substitute teacher and building sub, while also coaching the sophomore football and basketball teams. Coach Young is excited to be part of a new program and to continue to help his athletes grow as young men, and prepare them to be successful at the next level.
